If you live in a state with a school choice program, knowing which programs you qualify for can greatly impact how you homeschool your student. That’s why we’ve created this guide to all the programs we qualify for, so it’s even easier to provide your child with an amazing education.

Alabama
- Available for K–12 students
- Award amounts are $2,000 per homeschooled student, with a family maximum of $4,000
- The student and guardian must be residents of Alabama
- Total household income for the 2024 tax year must not exceed 300% of the federal poverty level

Arizona
- Available for PreK-12
- Award amounts range between $2,900-$6,200; children with disabilities may qualify for more
- Student and legal guardian must be residents of AZ
- Student cannot be enrolled in public school

Arkansas
- Available for 1st-12th grade and kindergarten students attending private school
- Amount ranges between $6,864 and $7,627
- Must be a resident of Arkansas
- Student must be eligible to enter a public school in Arkansas

California
While there are no eligible state funding programs in California, if your student enrolls in a charter school, you may be able to purchase our membership via your school. Please visit the charter school page to learn more.
Colorado
- Available for grades K-12
- Awards up to $1,200 for homeschool students
- Must reside in El Paso, Teller, or Pueblo County
- Must meet financial requirements and provide federal tax documents

Delaware
- Available for grades K-12
- Award amounts vary, up to $2,500
- Must be a Delaware resident
- Must complete an application that includes the child’s educational goals

Florida
All the listed Florida scholarships are funded by the Step Up for Students scholarship program. Visit our official vendor page, or read more about our involvement on our Step Up blog.
Step Up For Students:
- Available for grades K-12
- Awards up to $8,000, depending on county and grade level
- Must be eligible to attend public school
- Must be a Florida resident

- Available for students 3 years old – 12th grade or age 22, whichever comes first
- Average award is $10,000
- Student must be at least 3 years old
- Must provide proof of disability

Georgia
- Available for grades K-12
- Awards up to $6,500 per student for 2025-26
1. Student must have been enrolled in a Georgia public school for two consecutive semesters OR must be a rising kindergartener.
2. Student must live in a school zone ranked in the bottom 25% by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement.
3. Parent must have lived in Georgia for at least one year (waived for active-duty military families).

Idaho
Applications are permanently closed. Recipients of the Empowering Parents program have three years until their grant expires. You can find the exact date your grant expires by logging into Classwallet.

Indiana

Louisiana
- Available for students who are at least 5 years old, but no older than 21 by September 30 of the current school year
- Awards between $5,243-$15,253; depending on eligibility
Students must be a Louisiana resident and meet one of the following:
1. Participated in the Louisiana Scholarship Program the previous school year
2. Entering kindergarten
3. Enrolled in a public school the previous school year
4. From a family with total income at or below 250% of federal poverty guidelines

New Hampshire
- Available for students between five and 20 years old entering K-12th grade
- Awards approximately $3,700
- Parent and student must be residents of New Hampshire
- Household income must be at least 350% below federal poverty line

New York
- Available for grades K-8
- Must be a resident of NYC
- Awards $1,000 per homeschooled child
North Carolina
- Available for students who have not graduated high school, who are at least 5 years old by August 31 or 4 years old by April 16 and are approved for kindergarten
- Awards up to $9,000 per year; children with disabilities may qualify for more
Students must meet all of the following:
- Be a North Carolina resident
- Have a documented IEP by a North Carolina public school
- Not enrolled in a post-secondary institution
- Be eligible to attend public school in North Carolina

Oregon
- Available for K-8
- Maximum of $500 for homeschool reimbursement
- Must be an Oregon resident

- Available to students who are five or older as of September 1

- Available for K-12 (must be younger than 22)
- Awards between $9,772.47-$9,800.38, depending on the county
- Must be a resident living within a certain school district

Note: Tennessee ESA cannot be used towards homeschooling. You can use Tennessee ESA funds to purchase our curriculum for afterschool programming only.

Texas
Applications are open February 4 – March 12, 2026!
- Available for PreK-12
- Must be a Texas resident
- Awards up to $2,000 per year for homeschoolers
- Student must be eligible to attend a Texas school district, open-enrollment charter school, or Pre-K program
The payment schedule will be:
- First Payment (25% of Approved Funding) – July 1, 2026
- Second Payment (50% of Approved Funding) – October 1, 2026
- Third Payment (Remaining Funding) – April 1, 2027

Utah
- Available for K-12
- Awards $4,000-$6,000; dependent on student age
- Must be a Utah resident

- Available for students ages 3-21 with a documented disability, as defined by by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
- Must be a Utah resident
- Student must not be currently enrolled in a public school or charter school
- For the 2025-2026 school year, the award amounts are as follows:
- Pre K and Half Day Kindergarten: $3,856.05 or $6,426.75 annually, depending on service level
- Full Day K-12 Scholarship: $7,011.00 or $11,685.00 annually, depending on service level

Important Note: Students may only participate in one scholarship program at a time. Students who receive the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship or Utah Fits All are not eligible to participate in another scholarship program during the same school year.
Virginia
West Virginia
If you are a recipient of the West Virginia Hope scholarship, you can use your funding to purchase our Miacademy Workbooks in addition to our curriculum!
- Available for K-12
- Awards $5,267.38 for the 2025-26 school year
- Must be a resident of West Virginia
- Student must remain enrolled until a decision is made
Students must also meet one of the following:
- Eligible to be enrolled in kindergarten for 2025-2026
- Enrolled full time in a WV public school for the entire school year before applying
- Enrolled full time in a WV public school for at least 45 consecutive days during the current school year before applying

Wyoming
- Available for PreK-12
- Awards $7,000 annually
- Must be a resident of Wyoming
- Student may not be enrolled in a public school for the 2025-26 school year
