Oregon Children’s Scholarship Fund

At Miacademy, we’ve been hard at work partnering with various state funding agencies across the country. Our goal is to make a quality education accessible for every student, and we’re accomplishing our goal one state at a time.

If you’re homeschooling in Oregon, we have some exciting news to share with you!

Miacademy is now available through the Oregon Children’s Scholarship Fund! K-8 students in Oregon can now access Miacademy’s accredited online homeschool curriculum with funding through partial tuition scholarships.

What is the Oregon Children’s Scholarship Fund?

The Children’s Scholarship Fund of Oregon (CSF-Oregon) provides partial-tuition scholarships to K-8 students from lower-income Oregon families so they can get a quality education at the tuition-based schools of their parents’ choice.

Scholarships can be used for tuition at any legally operating private or parochial grade school (K-8), or they can be used for qualifying homeschool expenses. Scholarships are always partial and are capped at $2,500 per child per year. Parents must contribute a minimum of $500 toward any remaining expenses.

How Do I Get Miacademy with the Children’s Scholarship in Oregon?

To get Miacademy’s homeschool curriculum, you must first be approved for a scholarship.

Upon application acceptance, scholarships are awarded on a lottery system, with award amounts based on financial need. The scholarship prioritizes applications for first time kindergarten students, returning scholarship recipients and their siblings, and new applicants currently attending public schools.

Once you receive funding, you may then make your Miacademy curriculum purchase.

Parents of recipient students will be mailed a form twice a year (in October and April) to request reimbursement for their qualifying homeschool expenses. A receipt for each expense must be included with the completed form. Scholarship checks are made payable to the parent and mailed in November and late April.
