U.S. Geography Unit 4: The Midwest

Unit 4 in Miacademy’s online US Geography course for upper elementary grades is The Midwest. It focuses on the stunning landscapes and important pieces of history that define this region of the United States.

Unit Overview: The Midwest

The unit includes a lesson on the iconic landmark of Mount Rushmore, where students will learn about the history, meaning, and significance of this important site and how it represents the Midwest region. 

Throughout the unit, students will continue to develop their map skills and understanding of the world around them. They will gain a deep understanding of the Midwest region of the United States and how it relates to the other regions of the country.

Unit 5: The West
