What is MiaPrep Online Academy of Ohio?

MiaPrep Online Academy of Ohio (MOAO) is a new, statewide online charter school designed for Ohio students in grades 7–11, launching in the 2026–27 school year (with 12th grade coming the following year). 

MOAO is founded and operated by Miaplaza Inc., a team with over 20 years in online education best known for the Miacademy and MiaPrep learning platforms.

We designed MOAO to combine structure, flexibility, and mastery-based learning, so students can learn at a pace that truly works for them. Whether your student needs a more flexible schedule, a calmer learning environment, or a strong academic foundation they can build on, MOAO is designed to support your Ohio student, wherever they are.

How Online School Works – MOAO

At MOAO, students follow a structured weekly schedule that blends online lessons, offline practice, teacher-graded assignments, and live support.

Students typically spend about 26 hours per week on learning activities, including:

• Guided online lessons through the MiaPrep curriculum (10 hours)
• Workbook activities and projects (8 hours)
• Teacher-graded checkpoint assignments (4 hours)
• Optional live teacher office hours for extra support (4 hours)

How to Enroll at MiaPrep Online Academy of Ohio

Pre-enrollment is now open. Families who pre-enroll will be the first to receive:

• A secured spot to attend in case MOAO reaches its enrollment cap

To pre-enroll, you will need to provide: 

1. Parent & student information
2. Proof of Ohio residency
3. Proof of student identity
4. Immunization record or exemption
5. Academic records, if available
