Louisiana families can now access Miacademy’s accredited online homeschool curriculum with funding provided by the Louisiana Department of Education.
What Is the LA GATOR Program?
The Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise (LA GATOR) Scholarship Program is Louisiana’s first ESA program, replacing the Louisiana Scholarship Program (LSP) for the 2025-26 school year.
This program allows families to choose the best education option for their child while reducing the cost burden of nonpublic educational programs and services.
The program covers a wide range of approved educational expenses, including:
- School tuition and fees at participating nonpublic schools
- Tutoring and educational therapies
- Textbooks and curricula
- Dual-enrollment courses
- School uniforms
- Technology and educational software
- Summer and after-school academic programs
The total number of funded accounts depends on state budget approval and school seat limits. Student award amounts vary from $5,243 to $15,253, depending on the student’s situation and needs.
