When you choose a curriculum, you’re trusting a team with your student’s education.

If you’re considering Miacademy, you probably know that our engaging lessons, fun games, and comprehensive courses don’t come out of nowhere. Our team is made of education experts, writers, designers, and developers who spend every day thinking about how learners learn.

For the second year in a row, Miaplaza has been recognized as a Great Place To Work Certified™ company. That recognition comes from our team members themselves, who rated Miaplaza highly for leadership, growth opportunities, and meaningful work.

It matters for your family, too. When the people who build your student’s curriculum feel supported and valued, they do their best work, and that shows up in the lessons your student sees every day.

Great Place To Work has been surveying employees about their workplace experiences for 30 years. Its Trust Index™ survey asks employees to respond to 60 statements on a five-point scale and answer two open-ended questions, all confidentially. It covers things like:

The recognition comes from what employees themselves say about working here. Surveys also have to meet strict requirements for how they’re distributed and how many employees respond, so the results reflect the whole company and not just a few voices.

It also isn’t just an average. Great Place To Work looks at responses across roles and demographic groups, so a company only ranks well when a wide range of people, from brand-new hires to longtime team members, report a good experience. This year, 98% of our team agreed, that Miaplaza is a Great Place To Work. Plus, we also ranked #5 on the Best Workplaces in Education & Training™ 2026 list, in the small and medium category! Check out our award here.

Quite a bit, in our opinion! Building a good lesson takes a lot of back-and-forth. Someone has to notice that an explanation is confusing, someone else has to say so, and the team has to be willing to redo it. That only happens when people not only feel comfortable speaking up, but also truly care about the result. For our team, it’s not just a job, because everything we do impacts your student on the other side of the screen.

See for yourself – start your Miacademy trial today.

At Miaplaza, we believe that:

When people trust their leaders and each other, problems get raised early, before they reach your student’s screen. Every time a new course hits your student’s Learning Path, it’s the result of hundreds of hours of creative work, constructive criticism, revising, and more feedback, to make it as perfect as possible for your learner.

Teams that care about what they make keep refining it, even after a lesson has been released. This year alone, we’ve updated hundreds lessons across grades K-12, to make sure your student is getting the best we can give, no matter where they are in their learning journey.

People who feel valued tend to stay. The folks who know Miacademy best are the ones who continue to improve it year after year. While we continue to hire the best education talent out there, we’re also retaining our Miacademy veterans, who not only set the expectation for quality, but give newcomers the tools and guidance they need to thrive and exceed them.

Homeschool families are the first to know that education is not a one-size-fits-all. Neither is team building!

We’ve demonstrated that a team made up of people with different backgrounds and ways of thinking is better equipped to build learning that works for different kinds of learners. Diverse perspectives bring more visibility and representation for diverse learners, helping learners feel included and seen in their learning.

We’re so proud of this recognition, and we see it as something to keep earning! We know that your family trusts us with a big part of their student’s education, and the way we treat each other shows up in what we make for them. We’ll keep listening to our team, and even more importantly, to you — the parents and learners who use our curriculum every day, to make Miacademy a great place to learn (and to work) for all.

If you’d like to know more about the great minds behind Miacademy, or if you’re interested in experiencing a Great Place to Work for yourself, check out our Careers page.

What is Great Place To Work™?
