Our team of experienced educators is committed to providing an engaging and accessible educational experience for all of our homeschooling families. Miaplaza is the parent corporation of the K-12 online curriculum providers Miacademy, Always Icecream, and Clever Dragons, as well as MiaPrep and MiaPrep Online High School. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our homeschool programs are highly customizable, effectively motivate students to learn, provide real-world learning opportunities, and offer a safe social platform for students to share their learning with their peers. Our Accredited K-8th Curriculum<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Accreditation is one of the best ways for a parent to vet a potential curriculum to ensure that their child will be receiving a quality education. Accredited homeschool programs require a third party to approve the curriculum based on rigorous academic standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miacademy is fully accredited<\/a> by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS-WASC<\/a>) as a Supplemental Educational Program (SEP). Our program\u2019s built-in flexibility allows you to use it as your core online homeschool curriculum or to supplement your child\u2019s primary schooling. From kindergarten<\/a> to middle school<\/a>, every lesson is packed with exciting opportunities to connect our learning program to the real world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Accredited High School Curriculum<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our 9th-12th site, MiaPrep<\/a>, is also fully accredited by the ASC-WASC and is a great choice for a core or supplemental program. MiaPrep prepares high school students for life and higher education and comes with all of the flexibility and customization benefits of asynchronous homeschooling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a more connected online high school experience, we now offer our private school MiaPrep Online High School<\/a> (MOHS) in addition to the classic MiaPrep curriculum. Our online school allows high school students to meet with real teachers and advisors, join student clubs, and earn a high school diploma upon graduation. Your child\u2019s education is our priority, and we\u2019re here to help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How It Works<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A benefit of online learning is the ability for game-based learning, designed to keep children interested and eager to learn. With Miacademy, you\u2019ll never buy another textbook again! Everything you need is available on our site, with videos, practice work, games, and assessments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majority of the coursework is completed using a laptop or tablet and is graded automatically. We also include offline extension activities to encourage students to apply their learning in multiple ways. Our printable PDFs bring learning beyond the screen with fun hands-on activities for your student to explore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most lessons start with an engaging teaching video, then increasingly challenging practice games and quizzes. Throughout their courses, your child can demonstrate their mastery with untimed assessments. When your child completes a lesson, the parent gradebook is automatically updated with their grade and time spent learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our seamless online gradebook also makes record keeping easy! Simply print or download the detailed attendance, on-site time, and achievement score reports in your Parent Page to keep complete and detailed records of your child\u2019s progress. Checking in on their progress can take as little as five minutes a day and can make a big difference!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
